Youth Orchestras of Charlotte is supported, in part, by the Infusion Fund and its generous donors.
About the program
The Youth Orchestras of Charlotte is dedicated to nurturing the musical talents of youth in the greater Charlotte area and inspiring them by providing exceptional instruction and performance experiences in symphonic orchestra and chamber music settings. The Youth Orchestras of Charlotte provides training to approximately 200 youth musicians (ages 9-19) in the Charlotte region. The program is led by Music Director and Conductor, Dr. Ernest Pereira who fosters musical excellence in orchestral performance, drawing on over 30 years of professional experience.
Talent. Teamwork. Together.
It is the goal of the Youth Orchestras of Charlotte for students to have a high quality musical experience and orchestral performances. Your support is vital as we continue Building Charlotte’s Musical Landscape.
As an independent, non-profit organization, the Youth Orchestras of Charlotte relies on the efforts and generosity of individuals and corporate sponsors to enhance the learning experience of our young musicians above what is covered by tuition.
To support ongoing YOC endeavors, we count on the financial support from the parents of the youth musicians in the form of audition and tuition fees. In addition, annual fund raisers and concert ticket sales help in covering the costs to run the orchestras. We welcome support from businesses, partners, and friends of the Youth Orchestras of Charlotte to help defray the costs of running this outstanding independent youth orchestra program.
